| JKFFA celebrate Lohri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 11: The J&K Freedom Fighters Association (JKFFA) and J&K ECO-Care Takers organization, an NGO, organized a function to celebrate the Lohri festival.
The programme held in the "Mentally Retarted Home (Physically challenged) Channi Rama Jammu" which was sponsored and presided by A S Gupta chairman of UPKAR- Education & Community Development Society Jammu to provide the GIFTS on Lohri to the students.
MLC B R Kundal was the Chief Guest where as former MP Janak Raj Gupta N H Malik Principal Govt Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu were the guests of honour.
Extending the greetings on Lohri festival and addressing the gathering B R Kundal appreciated the organizers for holding such a function which create the feeling among these hapless students that the whole of community is with them to share their agony, grief and painful lives which they are leading.
Speaking on the occasion Janak Raj Gupta said that the central government headed by Manmohan Singh providing liberal grants to the state making the possible efforts to make J&K on the path of development.
He said government is committed for removing the sufferings of these physically challenged people of state.
