Giri's associate Babloo hospitalised | | | JAMMU: Yudhvir Singh alias Babloo, who was hit by bullets in his leg in the alleged Giri encounter with police on marble market road some time back, was today admitted to police hospital after he complained of pain in the leg. He was alleged to be sitting on the pillion seat of the motorcycle which was being driven by Giri. While Giri was killed in the alleged police encounter, Babloo had survived with bullet injuries. He was undergoing treatment at the GMC hospital from where he was taken to Channi Himmat police station by SHO, Inspector Rajinder Kumar. However, while he was being questioned by police, he complained of severe pain in the leg, police sources said. The cops them took him to the police hospital, Gandhi Nagar, where doctors admitted him as his leg had swollen and he needed rest, the sources added. Their associate Sumit Choudhary alias Sunny Baba, who had managed to escape, was still at large. Sunny's father Bawa Jat, who was a top criminal, was shot dead by the shooters of Pappi Simbli over a decade back. Meanwhile, Shammi, who yesterday escaped from Channi himmat police station, could not be arrested by police till late tonight. Giri's family have moved the high court against police, alleging that he was killed in a fake encounter. A case was also filed by them with the national human rights commission. |
