| HC directs PSC to reserve one post of KAS | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 12:- Ina significant direction, Vacation judge Justice Sunil Hali today directed the Public Service Commission (PSC) to keep one post of KAS reserved till next date of hearing.
The court also directed the PSC to interview the petitioner for KAS 2009 at his own risk and responsibility, even though the last date of conducting interview is over.
The court after hearing the petitioner in person issued notice to respondents’ returnable within four weeks. Petitioner Mohd Abdul Basit Rizvi in the petition submitted that he filed this petition on January 5, 2011 but the same could not be taken up for consideration in view of ensuing vacations. It is further stated by the petitioner that after having been successfully qualified the main examination of J&K Combined Competitive Examination 2009, he has not been allowed to appear in the interview on the ground that he had not appeared in the Bachelors Degree Examination prior to last date for filling the forms for preliminary examination.
