| Self rule and autonomy outdated slogans: Hurriyat | | | Srinagar, Nov 8 Terming PDP's self rule proposal and autonomy plank of National Conference the outdated slogans of the political history of Jammu & Kashmir state, hard line faction of Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani has said that days of political exploitation are over now. Spokesman of Geelani led Hurriyat conference said in a statement here today that even if people in minority choose to have association with pro-Indian mainstream political groups, the arrangement will confine them to the extent of getting few concessions. Daring mainstream political groups to prove themselves the symbols of moral conscience, the spokesman advised them to make matter of governance the election plank instead of using the agenda of resolution of Kashmir issue for promoting political exploitation of people in the state. Advising PDP President Mehbooba Mufti not to expect more compensation for shedding crocodile tears for martyrs, the spokesman said how long she can cover up the services of his father which he is rendering for promoting Indian interests both in New York and Srinagar. He also said that India and Pakistan can not rely on people who don't understand the inner feelings of Kashmiri people and work like stooges just to earn money. Expressing his grave concern over detoriating health condition of jailed Hurriyat leader Gh mohd khan sopore, the spokesman alleged that a threat to his life has been caused by continuing non availability of medicines to him in prison. |
