PYC seeks comprehensive uniform wages, regularization policy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 12: Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) has sought formulation of a uniform policy on ‘reasonable’ wages to state government employees as well as regularization of daily/casual workers. In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister today, senior vice president PYC R S Pathania has also sought implementation of Minimum Wages Act in the state in its letter and spirit. Pertinent to mention that government has itself put a bar as to nobody – may be a person or an organization or limited concern - can employ anybody on wages less than Rs 110 per day. But, on seeing the monthly wages of SPOs, ReTs, ReZs, casual labourers Pathania lamented that almost every department in the state has employed persons on contractual/daily/casual basis giving them less than the stipulated minimum wage of Rs 110 per day.
