NCSU pays tributes to Swami Vivekananda | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 12: National Conference Students Union (NCSU) today paid richest tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary, celebrated as National Youth Day across the nation. The students gathered at Vivekananda Chowk in Gummat area and garlanded the statue of the great thinker and philosopher Swami Vivekananda. Speaking on the occasion, NCSU president Jammu province Rahul Sharma said the National Youth Day is held on the birthday of Swami Vivekananda to commemorate his philosophy and the ideals for which he lived and worked. Vivekananda’s thoughts could be great source of inspiration for the Indian youth. “His teaching inspired the youth to how they should strive to uphold their ancient values while participating in the modern world. He advised his follower to be holy, unselfish, and have faith”, he added. Sharma further said that the when the country was suffering from menace of corruption, teachings and principles of Swami must be follow by all. Mohsin Bhat, vice president, Fiyaz Mirza vice president Mukti Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
