| DRC appreciates achievements of tourism deptt | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 12: Departmental Related Committee (DRC) of Legislative Council on Tourism Department today expressed satisfaction over the performance of the department for achieving outstanding results in implementation of various tourism promotion programmes across Jammu region.
The Committee met today under the chairmanship of MLC, MY Taing.
Threadbare discussion was held on details of funds allocated to each Tourist Development Authority and its utilization on various development works during current financial year. The Committee also deliberated upon the targets fixed and achievements made during the period.
The Committee also suggested several measures for further streamlining of tourism industry in the State.
Legislators, Shiekh Gulam Rasool, Gialchain Narboo and Sayeed Rafiq Ahmad Shah gave their valuable suggestions for further improvement in boosting of tourism sector in the State.
