| Mir asks for responsive attitude of banks for implementation of self-employment schemes | | | Srinagar, Nov 08 Asserting that the effective implementation and monitoring of Self-employment schemes would go a long way to tackle the un-employment problem to some extent, senior PDP leader and former Minister Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir today underscored the need for taking measures to make the banks and other financial institutions operating in the state more responsive in advancing financial assistance to the un-employed youth under various schemes so that they could set up their own income generating ventures. Addressing a day-long convention of youth wing of PDP organized at Srinagar today, Mr. Mir has also asked for the need of simplifying the existing procedure so that the un-employed youth could be motivated to opt several self employment schemes which he said would not only help in tacking the un-employment problems but also it will go a long way in utilizing the available resources to lay an industrial base in the state. The convention was also addressed by senior PDP leader and President of Youth Wing of PDP Syed Basharat Bukhari and PDP leader Peerzada Mansoor Hussain besides all the district and zonal presidents of youth wing of the party. In his address Syed Basharat Bukhari said that a time bound programme need to be chalked out to fill up all the vacancies of state and central government offices. He also suggested that a single window system need to be adopted to enable the entrepreneurs and un-employed youth to seek loans for setting up of their own income generating units. Peerzada Mansoor Hussain highlighted the broader contours of Self-Rule Formula and asked the youth workers to advocate the significance and other aspects of the proposal which he said could be vital and acceptable solution to the Kashmir problem adding that it accommodates all aspirations of the people of all regions of the state. A resolution demanding passionate view over the youth, reportedly stranded along LoC and who had gone their to receive arms training and have now realized that they committed mistake in going there was passed at the convention. The youth are eagerly waiting for return to their homes to live peaceful life under mainstream. Another resolution for considering rehabilitation of the families of killed militants under state rehabilitation council was also moved at the convention.(NAK)
