PDP calls recruitment drive am eyewash | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, June 12: Expressing strong disapproval of the hush bush manner in which recruitment drive to police in Srinagar city has been launched the PDP today said this is another brazen instance of the insincere conduct of state government. A spokesman of the party said that it was surprisingly that the recruitment was started without any prior notice, information or advertisement and it seems it is meant only for those recommended by the ruling party. Spokesman further said that there are thousands of eligible boys in Srinagar city who academically and physically qualified to compete for constable’s post. The government has thrown all norms and established procedures to the wind by conducting the recruitment clandestinely. Spokesman said that National Conference has always used government jobs as a commodity which it sells either for money or party interests. It was sad that police was being used this time for the dubious agenda of the party which has already lost all moral and political credibility and added that the government must ensure continuation of transparency and fairness in recruitment that had been introduced by the previous government.
