| Pawan ice cream parlour, 7 shops, 1 flat seized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 12: The Pawan food ice cream parlour at Shakti Nagar, seven shops and a flat of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in other city areas were today seized for non-payment of monthly rent.
The shops and the flat were seized after their occupants did not respond to the repeated JMC notices served upon them, official sources said.
There were also allegations of violation of JMC norms against them, the sources added.
Sources said as they had not deposited the rent for the past six months, district magistrate Sanjeev Verma ordered for their immediate seizure.
Apart from the Pawan food ice cream parlour, seven shops and a flat were also seized at Pucca Danga and Jewel areas by a team led by ACR Charandeep Singh. |
