TSOs suspended | CAPD minister reviews stock position in Kishtwar villages | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Jan 13: Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Qamar Ali Akhoon today visited Wardwan, Marwah, Dachan, Inshan, Navapachi and Sundal, the remote and far-flung areas of Kishtwar district and took stock of the availability of food grains and other essentials in the area. Commissioner Secretary, CAPD and Transport Pradeep Gupta, Director, CAPD, Jammu Parvez Malik and Additional Secretary, CAPD, Imtiyaz Ahmad accompanied the Minister. While interacting with the people, Minister assured adequate supply of ration and other essentials on the sale out-lets of the department. He said that officers have already been directed to stock sufficient quantity of food grains to meet winter requirement of those areas which remain cut off during winter months. Responding to complaint of people of Nawapachi regarding stocking of insufficient food grains, Minister took serious note of the delay and ordered inquiry in the matter by a committee, comprising of Assistant Commissioner (AC) Revenue, Kishtwar and two locals from Nawapachi . The Committee has been asked to submit its report within a month. Meanwhile, the Minister also ordered suspension of Tehsil Supply Officers (TSO) of Warwan, Marwah and Nawapachi besides storekeeper of Nowpachi for their unauthorized absence from duty. Akhoon said that prescribed ration cards will be issued to the consumers of these areas shortly so that they are able to get their due ration on the new ration cards.
