Remain vigilant against fundamentalists, DCM tells Congmen | | | Early Times Report JAMMU: Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand today emphasized to all congressmen to remain vigilant against the forces of fundamentalism and destabilization. The Deputy Chief minister was addressing a congress workers meeting at his residence today. The Deputy Chief Minister said ``our country’s stature in the international arena has always remained high with pride because of being largest democracy of the world based on secular fundamentals’’. He advised congress workers to play positive role in the field of development for the welfare of general public. He said that present coalition government shall complete its tenure for the full term and those forces who are spreading different kinds of rumors about its tenure have no mandate to speak on the issue. Asking delegates to act as catalysts of social upliftment, Tara Chand called upon them to strengthen hands of government in its endeavors to provide succor to the marginalized and poor, adding, with the active support of central government revolutionary schemes have been launched in various sectors to address the aspirations of less privileged. “Track record of the government shows that remarkable achievements have been made in the field of development and special attention has been paid for equitable development of all regions of the state”, he added.
