Govt non serious towards solving people’s problems: PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, Jan 14:
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today flayed the State Government for its failure to solve day to day problems of the common masses. Party observed that miseries of the people have been increased manifold after formation of National Conference (NC) led regime in the State. Addressing public meetings at Dayala Chak and Kathua, PDP general secretary Balbir Singh said that common people have been facing acute shortage of drinking water and unprecedented power cuts, but the authorities were not serious in solving this problem. He pointed that this regime was formed with out any programme and policy and instead of solving basic problems of the common masses and leaders of National Conference have been befooling the people by making false promises. “What to say of solving problems of the people this regime has further compounding woes of the people due to its wrong policies”, he observed. Pointing towards shortage of ration in government runs depots, he regretted that due to rampant corruption ration meant for poor people being sold in open market. Singh said that present dispensation was one of the most corrupt and anti-people regime of the State. He said that the present government has been repeating the same blunders which were committed by the previous National Conference regime from 1996 to 2002. Cautioning the people against gimmicks of ruling National Conference, he said that government has been trying to hoodwink the people by raking up some emotive issues. He said that National Conference led coalition regime has totally failed to solve basic problems of the common masses. He pointed that common masses have been facing hardship due to galloping prices of essential commodities but the state government was not serious on taking some steps in this regard.
