Snow cutter machines clear all roads in 6 hours
Thousands of Loran residents thank MLA Poonch

POONCH Jan 15: Although 30 villages of Mandi and Loran areas were remaining blockedfor more than 15 days due to snowfall every year in the past, local
Member Legislative Assembly Ajaz Ahmed Jan ensured the restoration of traffic on all the link roads providing major relief to the people on war footing in just 6 hours. The MLA this time has managed snow cutter machines for the area which were already kept available to deal the situation.
Keeping in view the immediate restoration of roads, thousands of Loran residents today hold meeting in Bus Stand Loran under the chairmanship of Block President of National Conference Abdul Ahad Comrade in which a resolution was passed thanking Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and MLA
Ajaz Jan for their efforts in restoration of this traffic on these snow bound roads within 6 hours.
The residents also submitted a letter of thanks to Station House
Officer, Police Station Loran for warding the same to Chief Minister and local MLA.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Ahad said that MLA Ajaz Jan had requested Chief Minister Omar Abdulah some times ago to keep snow cutter machines available in the area so that the residents may not suffer during snowfall. He said that Chief Minister has responded the request of the MLA and had sanctioned snow cutter machines for the area. “We thank CM and our MLA for this effort”, Abdul Ahad said adding that they have get a major relief due to these machines. He said that there was routine closure of roads due to snow from 15 to one month during the past many years but the roads have been opened for traffic in 6 hours this time. “We were facing lot of problems but now we have been give a big relief because we will be able to use our roads which are our lifeline in snowfall also. This is great achievement”, he said.
