Power cuts, shortage of essentials across Doda region | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 15: National Conference (NC) today informed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that people across Doda region are suffering due to unscheduled power cuts and shortage of essential commodities. In a handout issued here today, ex-MLC and district Vice-President of National Conference from Doda (Bhalessa) Mohammed Iqbal Bhatt met with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Minister of State for Forest Shabir Khan. He appraised them about the problems being faced by public of Bhalessa, Thathri, Doda, and Bhaderwah especially during winter season. He said that people in these areas are suffering due to unscheduled power cuts. He maintained that there is shortage of K-oil, LPG, ration, and other basic amenities in these areas epically during winter season. He also stated that there is lack of public transport system in Chenab valley which leads to many tragic accidents in the region. He stressed for ensuring better transportation system in the areas and plying of more SRTC buses in the region.
