| Open sport climbing competition at St.Stephen’s college | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 15: Hiking Club of Saint Stephen’s College, New Delhi shall be organizing the 6th Saint Stephen’s Open Sport Climbing Competition from January 28 to 30, 2011.
3-day competition shall be conducted for both male and female climbers in the junior (under 16years)and Open categories( over 16 years) at 11meter high and 5 meter wide fiber glass climbing wall in the college premises. Competition is quite unique in a way that every climber has to compete both in lead and speed climbing in all the rounds of the competition and the winner is declared on the basis of overall performance of a climber in all the rounds of both types of competition.
This unusual type of competition has been a great success as many international climbers of the country have participated in the five earlier editions of the competition. Entry fee for the competition is Rs.150. Boarding and lodging for the participants can also be provided by the organizers in the college premises at the rate of Rs.250 per day.
