| AJKGEC demands release of arrears | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 15: All J&K Government Employees Conference (AJKGEC) has demanded implementation of sixth pay commission in letter and spirit besides release of arrears without pre- conditions and release of 10% DA with effect from July 1, 2010.
In a press handout issued here today, AJKGEC president Ishtiyaq Beg also demanded enhancement of house rent of employees working in rural and far lung areas of the state by adopting pattern of Haryana state.
He said that government should also enhance Medical Allowances, retirement age form 58 to 60 and regularization of daily wagers, contractual, adhoc and settlement of employees working against the migrant posts.
Beg further said that state exchequer is not being utilized properly which has led to under development of the state as major chunk of funds goes down the drain.
