| Workshop on Conflict Management begins in JU | | |
JAMMU | NOV 8
Two day national workshop on “Managing Conflicts Peacefully: Gandhi and Beyond”, organized by Gandhian Studies Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies (GSCPCS) of Jammu University (JU), was inaugurated by Prof. Priyankar Upadhyaya of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) at JU this morning. Experts from different parts of the country are participating in this workshop.
In his inaugural address, Prof. Upadhyaya said that meaningful and practical workshops are especially required in the areas like Jammu & Kashmir, which are badly affected by the menace of terrorism and so many other related conflicts and difficulties. Dr. Anurag Gangal, Director GSCPCS, while speaking over the theme of workshop said that non-violence comes more naturally to human being than any kind of violence. He further said that violence is always painful and non-violence is always harmless.
Earlier, Prof. Rekha Choudhary, HoD Political Science delivered the welcome address and welcomed all the delegates in the workshop. Prof. Kuber Singh, Principal MAM College was also present on the occasion. Dr. B B Anand presented the vote of thanks.
