| Balwal welfare body holds meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU Jan 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association held its meeting at Shahzadpur here, today under the presidentship of Satpal Lakhotra.
The Association General Secretary R.L. Kaith mentioned to the community members that the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has consented to be the chief guest of Sri Guru Gyagi Ji birthday celebration function to be organized on February 18, 2011 at Shahzadpur.
He also mentioned that Tumbi Badshah Yash Dev Yamla and Sarabjit Kour Chimtewali from Ludhiana have confirmed their participation in the function.
Thereafter, the Association approved the memorandum to be submitted to the Chief Minister on the day of function.
The Association also resolved to honour IPS Gareeb Dass Kaith DGP, Medalist Harbans Lal Motan, Sena Medalist Hans Raj Nandan and Distinction Holders.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting included M/s Dr. Ramesh Kaith, Master Ajaib Singh Motan, Capt. Om Parkash Tugga, Sub. Ghaseeta Ram Lakhotra, G.C. Sandhu, Diwan Chand Tugga, Mela Ram Tugga, Om Parkash Sargotra, Mohan Lal Motan, Ram Lal Lakhotra, Darshan Lal Motan, Kamal Chand Motan, Uttam Chand Sandhu, Baldev Raj Sandhu, Joginder Lakhotra, Bachno Devi and Bimla Motan.
