Youth Congress demands air-dropping of ration in Kishtwar villages

KISHTWAR, Jan 16: Youth Congress Leader from Kishtwar Sheikh Nasir Hussain Advocate has demanded air-dropping of ration and other essentials in far flung areas of district Kishtwar, as the surface link has got closed due to heavy snowfall.
In a press statement issued here, Sheikh Nasir has said that due to heavy snowfall, there is acute shortage of ration and other essentials in the far-flung areas of Marwah, Warwan, Padder and Bonjwah. As per the press note, residents from these far-flung areas have telephonically informed the youth congress leader that despite repeated requests, administration has failed to dump ration and other essentials in time and the ration depots are empty.
He appealed the government especially to the authorities of Consumer Affairs and Public distribution department (CAPDD) to provide adequate supply of ration, kerosene oil to district Kishtwar especially to the affected areas.
