Centre urged not to withdraw troops in Kashmir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kathua, Jan 16: The secretary of Jammu Kashmir Pardesh Congress Committee Manohar Singh urged the central government not to take any initiative to withdraw the security forces from the Kashmir in order to secure the lives of the people. Addressing the mediaperson at Kathua, Singh appreciated the role of Indian security forces for bringing numerous welfare schemes in education, health, construction and to uplift the living standard of the Kashmiri people. He said that the demand of the removing of the security forces is not from people it has been created by the few ‘separatists’ leaders who want the division and disintegration of the Kashmir from rest of the country to create the monopoly over the Kashmir. He said that Indian army has played a wonderful its duty to bring the peace and prosperity of the sate while fighting with the anti national elements and laid their uncountable lives in order to safe the lives of Kashmiri people. Moreover he demanded that the centre government should not take security forces withdrawal initiative, other wise it would be a major threat to the lives of common man and would be a major factor for militancy boosting in the state so to deal the anti national intention and attitude of the separatists of Kashmir and their constant endeavor to divide and disintegrate the state from rest of the country there is great need of the security personnel. In the press conference Balvinder Singh, Pawan Sharma, Mohinder Sharma, Rattan Lal Karotra and Ranjit Singh were present.
