| National theatre festival-2011 | | Play from J&K with three Versions being staged | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
CHANDIGHARH, Jan 16: After successful presentation of two versions of famous play Ghair Zaroori log, Amateur theatre group is all set to showcase third presentation of its highly acclaimed play in 6th TFT Winter National theatre festival-2011 to be held in Chandigarh.
Addressing a press conference here today, Director of play Mushtaq Kak from Jammu and Kashmir said that this is first play of its kind which has been developed on latest theatrical skills and would be performed in three different phases and versions designed on state of art techniques.
The first version , he said, entitled “Actor with Text” was performed at Abhinav theatre, Jammu last month, second version about (Actor, Text and their Body) which was performed at prestigious Nandikar National Theatre Festival, Kolkatta and Ritwik international theatre festival, Behrampore few days back. Now the ATG has prepared third version which is going to be staged in 6th TFT Winter National theatre festival-2011 to be held in Chandigarh.
It is pertinent to mention here that Mushtaq Kak, after serving as Director of Sri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, New Delhi for 9 years, returned to Jammu to help and encourage fresh talent of the state to reach their respective goals in the field of theatre, electronic media and films. He has also acted in films like ‘Hijack’, ‘Sikandar’ and a Canadian film ‘Amal’.
