Party adopts 2 resolutios | BJP will defeat designs of those forces standing for autonomy, self rule and Azadiu | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 16: BJP today made it clear that it will defeat the designs of all those forces who vouch for autonomy, self rule and Azadi of J&K as Party stands for the total integration of the state with rest of the country. A resolution to this effect was passed in Party’s two day State Executive meeting here which started yesterday. Through the resolution the party made it clear that BJP is committed to total integration of the state with rest of the country and there will be no compromise on this stand. Out rightly rejecting the demands of autonomy, self rule and Azadi the Party resolution made it also clear that these are not separate demands but totally integrated aimed at disintegration of the nation and the party will not allow it on any cost. The BJP believes that the J&K is fully merged with India and the accession of the state was complete in all respects. The Party prabhari for J&K O P Kohli in his presidential address while referring to J&K Constitution said that not only J&K but Pak occupied Kashmir is also an integral part of India. And this was stamped by the Parliament resolution of 1994 also, he added. He said BJP which is fighting for national integration and Party can take message to entire nation that it is a fight between divisive forces and nationalists and finally the victory will be ours and the separatists will be weakened. Making a scathing attack on interlocutors, Kohli said it is astonishing that instead of hearing the hepeople the interlocutors are giving their suggestions by coming with controversial statements. He asked them to remain confined to their role only and not go beyond the limits. The interlocutors have created a controversy that the centre has reached a compromising formula with separatists creating many apprehensions among the country men. Through another resolution the party took UPA at centre and coalition in J&K to task for rising corruption and price hike. The UPA’s popularity is getting eroded day by day and this is reflected in poll results of Bihar, and civic body and by elections in Gujarat, Rajasthan and MP the resolution opined. It said the people are totally disillusioned with non performance of UPA and the alliance will be crushed under the burden of big scams in which it is involved. It also accused the UPA of forgetting the guiding factor of parliamentary democracy i e collective responsibility as its Ministers accuse each other for rising prices and corruption. Justifying the Ekta Yatrra which has reached Bihar to hoist national flag at Lal Chowk Srinagar, BJP state president Shamsher Singh Manhas said the people all over country are enthusiastic for the yatra. He lambasted Chief Minister for raking up the issue and said Mr Omar Abdullah has a drawback that he thinks less and talks more. Ridiculing Chief Minister’s statement on Ekta yatra he said it isMr Abdullah which gave more publicity to the yatra than BJYM and BJP.
