JAMMU, Jan 16: National Conference Leader and member State Advisory Board for Development of Scheduled Castes Satwant Kaur Dogra visited villages of Chack Chhawan Kalan and Gujjar Basti Sujwan in the last two days during her ongoing Jan Sampark Abhiyan in Samba.
According to handout issued here today, it has been stated that NC leader interacted with people who apprised her about their problems. She assured people that she will take up the issues concerning people with concerned authorities to solve these problems on priority basis.
While addressing people, she said that government is keen to give powers to public representatives by holding Panchayat elections at the earliest to strengthen democratic system at the grassroot level. A large number of party workers and supporters accompanied her during Jan Sampark.
Prominent amongst those who accompanied her included Pritam Chand, Subash Chander, Sain Dass, Bodh Raj, Mulkh Raj, Gopal Dass, Dewan Chand, Girdari Lal, Santokh Singh, Mastan Singh, Joga Singh,Babu Ram, Tarsem Lal, Prem Chand, Sarpanch Major Singh, Karan Singh, Abdul Rashid, Shamshdeen, Sakina Biwi, Reshma Biwi, Seema Bano, Shah Bano, Lal Hussain, Bashir Ahmed, Roshan Deen, Mohd Yousaf, Rehmaan Ali, Bhanu Biwi and Alah Hussain.
