Interaction programme at JU | Akhoon stresses for cordial student-teacher relationship | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 16: Calling for evolving morale based education system, Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Qamar Ali Akhoon has said that cherished objective can be achieved by maintaining cordial relation among students, teachers and parents. Speaking at Parents-Students-Interaction Programme held at Zorawar Singh Auditorium today, Akhoon said that teaching community has an important role in shaping destiny of younger generation which should be reciprocated by the students by giving due respect and honour to their teachers. Function was organized by Students Association of Ladakh Jammu (SAOLJ) in collaboration with Friends of Ladakh Society University, Jammu. Minister enjoined upon the parents to keep close rapport with teachers to know about the activities of their wards adding that the parents have to act as watch dogs to save their children from going astray. He said that adolescent age is very sensitive phase of life where children and students need right guidance and direction to groom into responsible citizens. Akhoon asked the student fraternity to work hard and come up to the expectations and pursue their objectives vigorously to turn the dreams of their parents into reality. Among others, MLC Gyaltson Narboo, DIG Police, Phuntsog, Director Education and Culture University of Jammu Anita Baloria, parents, teaching staff and students were present on the occasion.
