JAMMU, Nov 8
To re-elect the members for central body of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), a general body meeting of workers was held under the chairmanship of S. Kehar Singh, member DGPC here today.
Gurbachan Singh Dutta was re-elected as President , Kehar Singh, senior vice president, Gurdev Singh as vice president and party spokesman, Joginder Singh, vice president, Dayal Singh Wazir, as general secretary, Avtar Singh, joint secretary, Tarlochan Singh Bijral, teasurer and Jagjit Singh as advisor besides other 20 members elected unanimously.
A separately cell for PoK refugees was also created to deal with long pending demands of displaced persons of 1947, 1965 and 1971 which will work under the guidance of Amrik Singh (Advocate), member, DGPC who has been elected president of the cell. On the occasion members of general body thanked Mahant Manjit Singh of Dera Nangali Sahib for his efforts for upliftment of Sikh masses of the state.
