| Challan against two for duping people | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Jan 17: Crime Branch (CB) has filed a charge sheet against two people, including a resident of Chandigrah, for allegedly cheating people of over Rs 5 crore in Ladakh. According to CB spokesperson, two cheats identified as Bashir Ahmad Manhas, of Surankote, Poonch and Jarnail Singh of Chandigrah floated a private financial company offering lucrative returns to the depositors at Nobra in Ladakh.
He said that the duo cheated residents of Nobra to the tune of Rs 5.20 crore, taking their cash deposits after promising them to double the said amount within a short period than that of provided by banks.
