PHE employees warned to suspend water supply after a week | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 17: PHE employees have threatened to suspend water supply in Jammu region if their demands are not met within a week. Under banner of PHE United front (PHE UF), employees today held a massive protest in the front of the PHE offices and alleged that state government has always discriminated with them and have denied them their rights. Addressing the gathering, senior leader Bakshi Singh said that employees are facing number of problems and successive Ministers have assured them that demands will be met but nothing has been done so far. He alleged that state government has adopted delaying tactics to fool the workers and they are not sincere to resolve their issues. They alleged that PHE Minister has been functioning like a dictator and want to crush the democratic rights of the Union. They also said before to go on “Kam Chhor Hartal” the reminder regarding implementation of the demands has been sent on 16thand 28th Dec 2010 and holding mass rallies but have been taken any step in this regard till now. PHE workers are demanding daily wages of Rs 110 per day be given to all sorts of PHE employees and status of daily rated workers be granted to them. Release of remaining one a half days ex-graita pay to the permanent employees, the technical higher pay scales as already given to the employees as per SRO-149 of 1973 and 59 be got sanctioned and regularized, regularization of all ITI and non ITI daily rated and New vehicles against the old condemned vehicles be purchased. They warned to the Minister as well as state government for their demand not full fill within a weak the PHE employees cut the supply of water in 14 districts and the responsible of state government. After a weak we will go to huge protest in the front of Divisional Commissioner and also block the roads. |
