Panthers seeks probe in the custodial killing | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 17: Jammu and Kashmir National Panther Party (JKNPP) today condemned the death of innocent youth in police custody and have demanded through inquiry in the issue. Panthers have also demanded re-organisation of the state keeping in view the developmental needs of the region. Addressing the gathering Harsh Dev Singh said that the Re-organisation of the state is the ultimate solution of Jammu and Kashmir problems. He further said that re-organisation of the state should be on the basis of language, geography and culture so as to give opportunities of harmonious development to people of all the three regions of the state. He further added, the separate Assemblies, for both the regions, separate Budget, separate Chief Ministers, separate Secretariats, separate Recruitment Boards, separate Planning Commission and separate Delimitation. All the demands relating to Autonomy, Self-Rule, Article-370 shall be automatically addressed democratically and smoothly in the light of the aspirations of the people of all the regions. Satish Kumar was nominated as District General Secretary of Jammu District, Rohit Dogra as youth President of Ward No. 23, Swrandeep Singh as vice-President and Abhinandan Sharma, Rakesh Gupta, Rahul Bakshi, Riaz and Bikram Kumar as Member. Meanwhile, Advocate, State General Secretary JKNPP H.C. Jalmeria has strongly condemned the Jammu and Kashmir police for killing a youth in the police station, Janipur. He expressed grave anguish over the violation of human right and disregard of the right to life provided under Article 21 of the Constitution of India. He has demanded high power judicial enquiry by the High Court judge in this matter and dismissal of the delinquent police officials and booking them under section 302 of the RPC. Jalmeria has ask the Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah to resign to owing moral responsibilities for this in human act of the police which is under his control being incharge of the Home Affairs
