Public-army bond turning fatal for militancy: Jan

SURANKOT, Jan 17: Praising army for their role in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch, Member Legislative Assembly Poonch Ajaz Ahmed Jan has said that army has strengthen its bond with public and the policy has turned fatal for the militancy in the area.
Addressing Surankote Mela organised by the 6 Sector Rashtriya Rifles in presence of Brigadier Ajay Seth, Jan said that army has build a tight relation with the people of this border area and this policy has benefited the both symbiotically. He said that army is guarding borders on one side and also providing facilities under operation Sadbhavana to the people which is giving good results.
The MLA on the occasion projected a demand before the army to kick start routine helicopter service under operation sadbhavana from Poonch to Jammu and Srinagar so that the needy people can be benefited. He said that a proper request to army will be made in this regard and army should come forward to help the people in this regard.
The MLA was invited by the army as Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, Brigadier Ajay Seth said that army will continue to help people and they are trying to strengthen the bond in future. He said that state is turning towards normalcy and its credit goes to people
who cooperate government and the army in streamlining the situation. In the mela army had installed various stall of various departments where a medical camp was also organised by the army doctors in collaboration with the civil doctors.
