Petitions committee meets under Khajuria | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 17: A meeting of the Committee on Petitions of Legislative Assembly was held under the chairmanship of MLA Ashok Khajuria, here today. The committee discussed various petitions included the petition of Munir Hussain Poswal, State Vice President, All J&K Dodhi Banyara Association regarding fencing of Dhoke Dubjan, Kadalbal and adjoining areas, the petition of Mohammad Ashraf Kakru Ex- Director, Planning and Development Department against an ex-MLA and the petition of Prithvi Chand, Ex- MLA against security wing of Police Department for withdrawing security.After threadbare discussion, the Committee observed that the petition of Mohammad Ashraf Kakru is baseless and decided to dismiss the petition.With regard to the petition of Prithvi Chand, Ex- MLA, the Committee settled the petition and recommended for deployment of one more PSO to him. On the petition of Munir Hussain Poswal, the committee directed them to submit full documents to Forest and Wildlife Department before June 20, 2011 for further examination. The Committee also directed the Collector, Wildlife to issue fresh notification in this regard. Legislators Mohammad Sharief Niaz, Mohammad Yasin Shah, Mohammad Ashraf Ganai and Irfan S Ahmed Shah besides, Principal Secretary, Forest Shant Manu, senior concerned officers of Forest, Wildlife departments, Assembly Secretariat, Prithvi Chand, Ex- MLA, and Stae Vice President, All J&K Dodhi Banyara Association, Munir Hussain Poswal attended the meeting.
