| First-ever placement fair takes off successfully 82 candidates selected during first three days | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Jan 17: More than 550 candidates registered themselves so far with placement cell of Directorate of Technical Education during the ongoing placement fair. On the third day of fair today, on January 17, three companies Hero Honda Ltd Haridwar, ABN Net work technology and UFlex (India) Ltd conducted interviews of ITI trained candidates and selected 46 candidates. During three days of the fair, total 82 unemployed youth have been selected for various companies.
It is pertinent to mention that the state level placement fair, for polytechnic and ITI trained candidates commenced on January 14 at Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk, Jammu. KGP Srinagar and ITI Srinagar. It shall continue till January 22. This fair is being organized by the Technical Education Department for both the ITI and the Polytechnic Pass out in different disciplines.
This unique fair has been organized first time in the state at such scale. All companies who have participated in the fair are overwhelmed with the arrangements and the response. Sanjive Virmani, Excellence Executive of Hero Honda Motors Haridawar expressed that he had never witnessed such kind of organized placement fair where this much number of candidates are available at a single point.
