BJYM reviews arrangements for Ekta Yatra
1/18/2011 9:02:04 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 18: To take stock of the preparations and preparedness of the Morcha for the forthcoming “Rashtriya Ekta Yatra”, State Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) held a series of meetings at ‘Mandal’ level here in city.
State president Munish Sharma presided over the meetings wherein specific duties at ‘Mandal’ level were assigned to various morcha workers for the volunteers who will arrive here from the rest of the country for taking part in Yatra to Lal Chowk.
While addressing the activists, Sharma said that this yatra is firm message to all anti-national elements that this state is integral part of the country and no person, group, outfit or power on earth can undo this bond. The reactionary and narrow minded elements in the state must stand cautioned that they cannot be allowed to hold state to
ransom nor turn the clock back by changing the state’s status in the country. Criticizing the Omar Abdullah, Farooq Abdullah and other NC men expressing opposition to the proposed rally and hoisting of national flag at Lal Chowk by BJYM on January 26, Sharma said that it only betrays their fake nationalism and assertion of being believers in Indian Constitution.
He asked the NC to explain as to how they justify their day in and day out demands of finance from the centre, when they are not happy with the tri-colour flag hoisting on republic day at Lal Chowk. They want centre to fund Central University, management institute, AIIMS standard hospitals for the valley but are not happy to see national
flag fluttering on Republic Day at Lal Chowk.
