JAMMU, Jan 18: Senior Congress leader Raja Maroof Khan has urged for sanctioning a comprehensive employment package for the unemployed youth of J & K. In a memorandum submitted to the party high command in New Delhi, Raja
Maroof said that due to lesser growth of private sector in this state, the youth are facing a worst employment crisis. And the biggest cause of turmoil has also been that cross-border agencies have found unemployed youth as the softest target for being lured into militancy. Maroof further pleaded for providing suitable adjustment in government jobs as well as incentives for setting up of small trades and
industries. While taking a potshot at Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Policy, he said that the policy has failed to generate any tangible results. He called upon the party high command and the Chief Minister too to afford a new face to the policy and immediately announce short-term measures and long-term objectives so that blue print could be developed as to what shall be the employment scenario of the state
after 20 years.
