| BJP playing cheap politics through Ekta Yatra: Cong, NC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Jan 18: Jammu Kashmir Pardesh Congress Committee (JKPCC)) and National Conference (NC) have alleged that BJP is playing cheap and substandard
politics in the name of Ekta March through its youth wing BJYM.
In a joint statement issued here today, Secretary JKPCC Manohar Singh
and the district Kathua president NC Dhian Chand said that the
decision of the youth wing of BJP to unfurl the Indian national flag
at Lal Chowk is an attempt to misguide the youth to gain sympathy of
the people of Jammu in respect of achieving the political power.
They further said that on Independence Day and Republic Day national
flag is hoisted in all the government sector organizations,
educational schools besides it is also unfurled at Bakshi Stadium.
The leaders said that entire Kashmir is an integral part of India and
then why the BJP wants to hoist the tricolor at Lal Chowk, Srinagar.
They said when the BJP was in full power at centre then why not the
National flag was hoisted at Lal Chowk by the BJP, so it is all pre
planned political move rather than having any genuine sympathy for
people of Jammu and Kashmir.
