Burglars held with stolen property

JAMMU: Foiling their attempt to escape to Rajasthan, the Nowabad police today arrested two thieves and recovered from them cash and gold jewellery they had stolen from Sunderbani, Rajouri.
A police team led by Nowabad police station SHO, Inspector Ajay Bhat arrested the accused from Vinayak Dharamshalla at Jewel where they were putting up.
Police sources said a cash of Rs 60,000, six tolas gold jewellery and some silver ornaments worth lakhs were recovered from their possession. During interrogation, they told police that they reached Jammu today and had to board a train for Rajasthan early Wednesday morning. Their interrogation was on.
