| BJP playing politics over flag hoisting: NC | | | Early Times Report
BANIHAL, Jan 19: Lambasting BJP leadership for playing flag politics, National Conference leader Sajjad Shaheen said that those claiming to abrogate article 370 are befooling people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a handout issued here today, NC leader Sajjad Shaheen said that J&K is the only state which enjoys special status under Article 370 of the constitution of India. He alleged that BJP leadership for trying to disturb peaceful atmosphere in the state for petty political interests.
Shaheen said that gap between the state and the country cannot be bridged by raising slogans like ‘’abrogation of article 370’’ or hoisting flag at Lal Chowk but by winning hearts and minds of the people of the state. Shaheen said that Autonomy is the birth right of the people of the state and National Conference has always strived for the restoration of Autonomy in its original form.
