| Award conferred on Mukhtiar Ahmed | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 19: In recognition of voluntary services in the fields of health, environment and other social works, Vice-President of India Hamid Ansari has conferred National Youth Award 2010 to a promising youth of District Doda Mukhtiar Ahmed.
Name of this youth was recommended by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan for the award, as he has been associated with the activities of the Kendra for the last couple of years. Mukhtiar Ahmed is an active social activist associated with various campaigns against the social evils. He has motivated the youth towards social service and development of the society.
He has participated in many national and international level programmes relating to social welfare and youth development. He hails from remote area of district Doda namely Assar.
