| KP’s stage protest, observe exodus day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 19: Various organisations of Kashmiri Pandits today staged a protest demonstration to observe day of 'exodus' from the Valley.
Addressing the demonstrators, chairman Panun Kashmir Dr Ashwani Churungoo said that process of exodus was set in motion for Kashmir Pandits (KP) with the advent and establishment of Islamic rule in Kashmir. ''Living in exile will not be allowed to go in vain, rather it will inspire our young generation to uphold ideals for which our colleagues sacrificed their lives and will serve as a source of courage for achieving the geo-political rights for KP community which have been denied to them,'' he added.
Carrying placards and black flags, the KPs however, marched through the main bazaars.
