| HC stays appointment of Pharmacists | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan: 19 (JNF):- The High Court today stayed the appointment of pharmacists. Vacation Judge of J&K High Court Jammu Wing Justice Sunil Hali in a petition filed by Shabir Ahmed Khan challenging the selection of Ashfaq Ahmed as Pharmacists (ISM) under RBA category has issued notice to State of J&K through Commissioner/ Secretary Health & Medical Education, Chairman & Administrative Officer SSRB and private respondent, returnable within four weeks.
The court after hearing the petitioner observed that the petitioner contended, private respondent Ashfaq Ahmed has applied under Open Merit Category but he has wrongly been selected under RBA Category. Counsel for the petitioner submitted that on the last dated submission of application form, the said private respondent did not possess any certificate of RBA category. Upon this the court ordered that in the meantime subject to the objections by the other side and till the next date of hearing, appointment of private respondents shall remain stayed and directed officials respondents that they shall also produce the certificate of RBA category if any, submitted by the private respondent on the next date of hearing.
