Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 19: Notwithstanding the Government's reported move to not to allow the Ekta yatra to proceed beyond Lakhanpur to hoist the National Flag at Lal Chowk Srinagar on January 26, BJYM the youth Wing of BJP today made it clear that Party will hoist the Tri Colour at Srinagar braving all odds.
Reiterating that over one lakh BJYM activists will reach Srinagar to hoist the National Flag at Lal Chowk on January 26, said the Party national vice president Pawan Khajuria. Mazintiang that people across the country are enthusiastic to join the yatra, he said no power on earth can stop its entry into J&K.
The ruling coalition in the state will be doing a great blunder by stopping the yatra, he said, earlier it was the NC and Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah who had arrested Shama Prasad Mookerjee the then president of Bharatiya Jana Sangh from entering J&K to break the permit system.
But this time it will be Congress which is backing the NC move, he said adding the Party with such a negative role will be exposed in entire country.
All the preparations for the Ekta yatra have already been given the final shape and BJP and BJYM activists are ready to give any sacrifice for hoisting the National Flag in Kashmir Valley, said Sofi Yousf , BJP president Kashmir. He said over 20, 000 delegates of party from Valley will also join the BJYM activists in hoisting the National Flag.
The Party while launching a scathing attack on congress and NC for its reported move to stop the yatra, said BJP will expose them throughout the country. ``We want to hoist the national tricolour at such a place were recently the Pakistani flag was hoisted by Hurriyat leaders and we are not going to Kashmir to wage a war there'' said Satish Sharma, general secretary, BJP incharge yatra.
``We will welcome any body to join the Flag hoisting including Omar Abdullah and other NC leaders'', he said adding Abdullah and his Party activists should join us to give a befetting reply to separatists instead of playing in their hands''.
The BJP yatra will cross Lakhanpur on January 24 morning and it will be given a grand welcome by State Partymen at Lakhanpur. Later the Partymen will also greet the yatra Samba and Hiranagar. The Yatris will also pay wreaths at the Samarak of martyr of Praja Parishad movement at Hiranagar and Pt Prem Nath Dogra statue at Jammu.
The BJYM will hold a grand rally at Jammu on January 25 afternoon and it will be followed by Kashmir chalo yatra from here, said Mr Sharma. The rally which will be led by national BJYM president Anurag Thakur besides him will be addressed by Party MP and celebrity Navjot Singh Sidhoo, BJP leader in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley and Party general secretary Anant Kumar.
Besides hoisting flag at Lal Chowk Srinagar the BJYM activists will also visit Baramulla and Uri to pay tributes to Maqbool Sherwani and Brig. Rajinder Singh at their memorials.
