JAMMU, Jan 20: The 18-member women hockey team today left for participation in the Senior National Championship to be held at Sonepat in Haryana from January 21.
Taking part in the nationals under the banner of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir, the selected women players earlier underwent a 21-day coaching camp held at KK Hakhu Stadium, here under the supervision of State Sports Council coaches.
The team is accompanied by Sham Lal Sharma as coach and G S Bakshi as manager.
The team: Ruchika Sharma (captain), Manpreet Kour, Kumari Alka, Rubina, Asha, Rishu, Baljeet Kour, Renu Singh, Arti Devi, Preeti, Anjali, Pallavi Sharma, Jagjeet Kour, Chittra, Sapna, Sarbjeet Kour, Meetu Sharma and Pooja Mehra.
