| Water sports players of JKP felicitated | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 20: Additional Director General of Police, Armed/ Law & Order, J&K, K.Rajendra Kumar felicitated Zahoor Ahmed Latoo, Sgct 215/AP 7th and Adil Mohi-ud-Din, SPO/25-JKAP 3rd Bn who brought laurels for the J&K State in general and J&K Police in particular in 21st National Championship Kayaking and Canoeing organised by Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association at Bhopal recently.
Zahoor bagged 3 bronze medals in K4 500mts,K4 200mtrs and K1 200mtrs and Adil bagged 1 silver in C4 500 mtrs and 1 bronze in C1 200 mtrs.
The ADGP also recommended to Police Headquarters J&K for cash reward to them.
K.Rajendra Kumar also congratulated Farooq Ahmed , coach of J&K Police Water Sports Team for the achievement.
These two players were selected for the aforesaid Championship by
All India Police Sports Control Board, New Delhi in view of their excellent performances in the recently held 10th All India Police Water Sports Championship at Roorkee in November 2010 where Zahoor Ahmed Latoo won 2 Gold, one Silver and 3 Bronze Medals in Kayaking and Adil Mohi-ud-Din won 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal in Canoeing for which they were rewarded Rs.42500 and Rs.36500 respectively.
