| JKOA discusses National Games preparedness | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 20: Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association (JKOA) in a meeting held here this evening discussed with its members the ongoing preparations for the upcoming 34th National Games hosted by Jharkhand from February 12.
The Association, which met under the chairmanship of general secretary JKOA, Ashutosh Sharma finalized the total number of athletes and officials the state is going field for the prestigious event. As per a handout issued here today, about 130 member contingent shall proceed for the venue from J&K.
These athletes shall represent different games of Athletics (12), Boxing (07), Cycling (07), Fencing (15), Gymnastics (07), Handball (18), Kayaking Canoeing (18), Rugby (14), Wrestling (03), Weightlifting (02), Shooting (10) and officials (08).
Meanwhile, the JKOA has requested secretaries of all the associations to select the best stuff in respective discipline for the coaching camps before departure for the venue.
