MANUU celebrates foundation day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 20: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) celebrated its 14th foundation day function with pomp and show. The day began with nostalgic lecture by MANUU’s founder Vice-Chancellor Prof. M. Shamim Jairajpuri and an inspiring address by P.A.Inamdar. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohammed Miyan presided over the function held at DDE auditorium. Prof. Shamim Jairajpuri delivered a lecture on “woh din, woh log aur woh batein(Those Days, Those People & Those Talks), recalling memorable days of this nascent University. Inamdar advised the students to be optimistic and work hard for bright future. He said that a golden era for Indian Muslims is about to begin, thanks to vibrant democratic system here. Inamdar described MANUU as a gift to the Urdu lovers. Prof. Mohammed Miyan in his presidential address announced institution of an annual award from MANUU next year onwards. Inamdar later addressed the students of Business Management and advised them to be an expert of their field. Without hard work and honesty nothing extra ordinary could be achieved, he remarked. He also opined that Indian students should learn the traits of micro planning, research & innovation from the West.
