| Bust of Baldev Singh unveiled at BIMTAS | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 20:- Air Force Marshal (retd), Arjan DFC today unveiled the bust of late Thakur Baldev Singh Chib at Baldev Institute of Management, Science and Technology,(BIMTAS) here.
Arjan Singh said that J&K has the distinction of producing many heroes, who have made the State proud by their exemplary courage and valour. Their heroism will continue to provide beacon light to the youngsters in future, he added.
Minister for Medical Education, Prof. R. S. Chib, in his welcome address said that Thakur Baldev Singh, who is also his elder brother was actively associated with the Chenab Educational Trust as a member of the advisory committee so the name of the institute was named after him . He said that he was always great source of inspiration and guidance for him in the establishment of education institutions.
Chib said that during the tenure of Marshal Arjan Singh, Indian Air Force was equipped with a new generation supersonic fighters, strategic reconnaissance aircraft, tactical transport air craft and assault helicopters and modern radar communication network.
Vice Chancellor, Jammu University, Prof Varun Sahni and Director, Sainik Welfare Board, Brig. R. S. Langeh also spoke on the occasion.
The students also presented colorful cultural programme on the occasion.
Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Division, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjiv Verm, besides officers from Air Force, Army was also present on the occasion.
