| 65 more LPG units to be set up in rural areas of Jammu : Shabir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan-20:- Minister of State for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) and Transport, Shabir Ahmad Khan, has said that Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPC) has sanctioned 65 LPG Units for border and rural areas of Jammu Division under Rajiv Gandhi Vitran Yojna. He directed concerned authorities for completion of all codal formalities for establishment of these units.
This was stated by the Minister while reviewing supply and stock position of LPG and other essential commodities of Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Rajouri, Poonch and Bilawar area of Kathua districts at a high level meeting here today. Director CA&PD, Jammu, Parvez Malik, Senior Manager, HPC, Plant Manager IOC, Deputy Director, CA&PD, Jammu and other concerned Area Managers of HPC and IOC attended the meeting.
The Minister stressed on checking of black marketing of LPG and directed that LPG home delivery should be ensured properly. He also instructed that concerned authorities for changing the entry timing of LPG vehicles in the city so that the consumers would not face any problem while collecting their cylinders.
