| E-governance completely off beam in GMC | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 20: Health Department of the state government claims to provide updated information to the common masses and following the rules and regulations, but these claims seems to be hollow on group keeping in view the working of the information delivery system.
One such example is the official website of Government Medical College (GMC) www.gmcahjammu.org, which was set up to help people get latest information about the services. The website is not being regularly updated.
As per the content of the website, Dr Rakesh Khajuria is the Administrator while the fact is that Reva Gupta is the administrator. Narinder Kour has been shown personnel officer but at present Subhra Gupta is working on the said post.
Similarly, as per the website, administrative officer of associated hospital is F.C. Dhansalia but Yaschang Dolma is working there for the said post there. The name of Dr Yashpal Sharma is mentioned here as Medical Superintendent (MS) SMGS but at present Dr. Romesh Gupta is on the post of MS.
Introducing a new ‘crowd management technique’, Government Medical College (GMC) started pass system wherein only two attendants were allowed with the patients. According to the officials, system is already in force in different wards of the premier medical college of the state.
