DGP reviews security arrangements | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 20: In order to ensure peace and order during Republic Day celebrations, Director General of Police (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda chaired a high level meeting at Police Control Room here today. The meeting was held in the back drop of Chief Minister’s meeting, which reviewed the security scenario in the state. The meeting was attended by senior police, intelligence, Para-military and civil officers. Meeting took stock of the arrangements made in connection with the Republic Day Celebrations at Jammu and other parts of the State. Deployment of personnel, police bandobast, traffic and other arrangements made for the state level function to be held at M. A.M. Stadium Jammu and other connected security issues pertaining to other parts of the State including Srinagar were discussed. DGP stressed for close coordination among all security agencies to ensure peaceful celebration of the functions, causing least inconvenience to the common people. He asked officers present in the meeting to adopt public friendly approach. Among others, the high level meeting was attended by Special D.G. (CRPF), Additional Director General of Police, Armed/Law and Order, J&K, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, IGP (Headquarter), IGP Personnel, IGP CRPF, IGP Jammu Zone, IGP Security, IGP Traffic and other senior officers.
