EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 20: Gurdeep Singh Sasan chief patron J&K Sikh Societies Amalgamate has accused BJP for vitiating peaceful atmosphere in the state.
Addressing media persons here today, Sasan criticized the BJP for adopting tactics which were detrimental and derogative for state and nation.
He said that one hand Omar Abdullah Chief Minister J&K state was working hard to mitigate the problems of common masses and doing its best to bring peace and prosperity to the state, on the other hand BJP by its ill advised action is scuttling the process by playing vote bank politics.
He questioned the BJP leadership as to why they forget these tactics when they happen to be in the power at Centre.
He urged BJP to refrain from negative politics in national interest and let the hard earned peace prevail in the state. He further demanded formation of Minority Commission and appealed to Omer Abdullah to issue notification in this regard so that community could approach commission for redressal of their problems and grievances.
He also demanded nomination of one member from Sikh commonly in Public Service Commission, SSRB and other public sectors corporations besides special employment package from central as well as state govt. should be provided on the times of Kashmiri migrants.
Among others who were present in the press conference included Capt P P Singh, S. Hardev Singh, S. Nain Singh, S. Surinder Singh, Er. Jagpal Singh, Surinder Singh and others.
